俞光岩，男，主任医师，教授，1952年出生，1979年毕业于浙江医科大学口腔医学系。1982年和1987年先后获北京医科大学医学硕士和医学博士学位。1990年和1995年先后赴德国汉堡大学和英国爱丁堡皇家外科学院访问交流。1992年晋升为口腔颌面外科教授，主任医师。1995年任博士研究生导师。培养研究生27名，其中硕士8名，博士19名。1996年12月至今任北京大学口腔医学院院长。
　兼任中华口腔医学会副会长，口腔颌面外科专业委员会副主任委员，涎腺疾病学组顾问，中国抗癌协会头颈肿瘤外科专业委员会副主任委员，国务院学位委员会学科评议组成员。现代口腔医学杂志主编, 北京大学学报(医学版)、华西口腔医学杂志等10多本口腔专业杂志副主编或编委。2006年12月被聘为Journal of Dental Research 杂志的编委。
　主攻研究方向为涎腺疾病及口腔颌面部肿瘤，先后承担霍英东教育基金会高等院校年轻教师基金，国家教委资助优秀青年教师基金，国家自然科学基金(7项)，卫生部重点学科课题基金以及科技部重大基础研究前期研究专项基金等20余项课题。口腔颌面部肿瘤，特别是涎腺肿瘤的研究方面取得了显著成绩。
　在国际和国内学术刊物上发表论文270 余篇，其中SCI收录34篇。专著及教材21部，其中包括独立编著的《涎腺疾病》及主编的《口腔颌面部肿瘤》及《周围性面瘫》。获各类科技进步奖11项，其中“涎腺肿瘤的临床病理研究”获2000年教育部中国高校自然科学一等奖。1991年获国务院学位委员会、国家教委颁发的“作出突出贡献的中国博士学位获得者”称号，1993年国家卫生部授予“首届百名中青年医学科技之星”，2006年被评为“北京市有突出贡献科学技术专家”。2001年香港牙医师学院授予荣誉院士称号，2005年英国爱丁堡皇家外科学院授予荣誉院士称号。
