大连医科大学附属二院病理科始建于1958年，现有工作人员12人，其中医生6人，技术员6人；高级职称3人，中级职称4人；博士1人，硕士3人。

    病理科主要承担医院的手术、活检及细胞学标本的诊断工作，并为手术患者提供术中冰冻快速病理诊断，还开展对外院切片的专家会诊工作。科室拥有合理的老中青学术人才梯队，很高的病理技术和诊断水平，能够完成各种疑难病例的病理诊断及处理工作，尤其擅长肿瘤的病理诊断与鉴别诊断。

    近年来，病理科引进了多台国外先进的设备，除了日常开展的石蜡切片、冰冻切片、液基细胞学、特殊染色等技术工作外，还开展了针对多种肿瘤标记物的60余项免疫组织化学、原位杂交、电镜诊断等技术；并在大连市综合医院病理科中率先建立了分子病理学实验室，首次将分子病理学技术应用于临床病理诊断中，目前开展的新项目：

    1、人乳头瘤病毒（HPV）基因分型检测技术：该技术可以一次检测出21种HPV病毒亚型，包括16种高危型和5种低危型HPV，可以提示受检者宫颈癌发生的风险，为宫颈癌的诊断、防治、疗效及预后的评估提供可靠依据，是目前值得信赖的宫颈癌早期检测方法之一。
    2、乳腺癌HER-2基因显色原位杂交（CISH）技术：应用普通石蜡包埋的乳腺癌组织、光学显微镜即可检测HER-2基因扩增情况，并且费用是以往检测方法（FISHI）的一半，可以准确判断乳腺癌患者是否存在HER-2扩增，为治疗方案的制定和疗效预测提供可靠依据。

    科室长年承担研究生的授课及培养工作，已培养毕业二十余名研究生；并接受病理专业学生的实习以及病理医师和技术员的进修学习。承担国家自然科学基金以及省、市级科研合作项目多项。每年在国家或国外期刊发表学术论文3-4篇。

    The pathology department of the second affilliated hospital of Dalian Medical University was founded in 1958. Now there are 12 staff, including 6 doctors, 6 technicians, among these, 3 senior titles, 4 intermediate titles and 5 junior titles. We have a reasonable echelon of academic talent, high technology and rich diagnosis experience.

    The department of pathology is mainly responsible for the pathological diagnosis of specimen from biopsy and cytology. We not only undertake the conventional inspection of pathology of the hospital, but also perform section consultation on pathology specimen from other hospitals. Our routine work includes the paraffin sections, freezing sections, cytological smear of thin layer, special stain and immunohistochemistry. In recent years, we have equipped with many advanced equipments and established a molecular pathological laboratory which is the first one in the departments of pathology of comprehensive hospitals in Dalian District. Besides conventional pathologic inspections, the department has developed nucleic acid molecular hybridization in stue and blotting, especially for the following new projects.
  
    1. Human papilloma virus (HPV) genotype detection: This technology can detect 21 subtypes of HPV, including 16 high-risk and 5 low-risk subtypes, and prognosticate the risk of cervical cancer.
    2. HER2 gene amplification of breast cancer by chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH)：This technology can simultaneously detect both tissue morphology and HER2 gene amplification in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded breast cancer tissue and provide the basis for making a therapy program and predicting therapeutic effect.
 
    We are in charge of the teaching and training work for post-graduate, pathological doctor and technican, meanwhile, receive the practice of undergraduate student. Our department also has the research projects assisted by National Natural Science Foundation and Provincial as well as Municipal Science Foundation. 3 to 4 papers are published in one year.
